Job summary

Are you looking to increase your clinical dietetic skills in Gastroenterology and Hepatology? If so, we have an excellent opportunity to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Dietetic teams based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust!

We are excited to offer the above post as either a Band 5 development post (competencies to be completed within 12 months to progress to Band 6) or if you have suitable experience, a Band 6 position. Failure to complete preceptorship/meet competencies within 12 months would lead to development applicants remaining at Band 5 level until they are completed.

The post holder will join the Gastroenterology or Liver Team and work closely with the Band 7 Gastroenterology/Liver Lead Dietitians, as well as a small team of Band 6's and rotational Band 5's. The role will involve providing a dietetic service to both inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology/Liver patients. Some of the clinical conditions covered will include IBD, IBS, ALD, Pancreatitis, Diverticulitis, Coeliac Disease, Gastroparesis, Hepatobiliary surgery, sub-specialities of Hepatology and exposure to Liver Transplantation.

If this sounds like you, please contact us for more details and we look forward to receiving your application.

For further information, please contact Dan Griffith (Dan.Griffith@uhb.nhs.uk) and/or Jill Johnson (Jill.Johnson@uhb.nhs.uk)
