Catering is at the heart of the organisation - cooking, creating and preparing, hot and cold food served to patients, staff and visitors both on wards and in our retail outlets.

As one of the successful candidates, you will be charged with maintaining good food hygiene and cleaning standards to a professional level while promoting a professional image to patients and visitors.

No experience is required as full training is provided, so if you're friendly with a 'can-do' attitude, then we want to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

*Ensure codes of practice for HACCP and food safety are followed as per site training

*Temperatures of cooked foods is recorded, along with chilled and frozen storage using the designated HACCP sheets

*Supplier deliveries are checked against temperature and quality. Failures reported to Supervisors and Managers for rejection

*Load Handling, delivery of food and non-food items.

*Handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH and training provided

*Check dates and rotation of food accordingly within the working area

*Maintain excellent cleaning standards within the working area following cleaning schedules supplied

*Record appropriate food waste and report high levels of waste to supervisors

*You will be required to work in temperature controlled environment.

*Communicate menus and offer to patient & ward teams and customers.

*Maintain excellent personal hygiene and uniform standards.

*Identify and report faults as required to department supervisors or leads.

*Be flexible in rotation of work from and a can do attitude
