Job summary

HCCD has a purpose built training facility "The Learning Hub" based at our Queen Elizabeth Hospital site. We have a dedicated engagement team who are our first point of contact within the community and a delivery team that provides a range of employability based programmes and wrap around pastoral support for unemployed individuals who are interested in pursuing a career within the NHS.
As an Educator you'll play a crucial role in;
*Assessing client's individual needs and ensuring these needs are catered for in the service we provide
*Designing and delivering a range of employability and vocational programs that meet the needs of both our recruitment managers and clients accessing them.
*Offering individual mentoring support to clients who require additional help
*Completion of relevant paperwork and the update of internal databases in an accurate and timely manner
*Adhering to quality assurance and compliance measures
You'll also have the opportunity to work across the wider HCCD team where we have responsibility for the management of apprenticeships, work experience and staff development

Main duties of the job
Promote careers advice and guidance throughout the learner journey from point of engagement for all learners who want further progress with their development with the support of trained educators to help them to progress to their goals.
To maintain records (both electronic and paper based) from point of their expression of interest for of all learners who register with HCCD and are subsequently tracked and recorded at each stage of their journey.
To work collaboratively with Educators and Trust Leads to quality assure all interventions and training meets the requirements of funding providers or any other agencies as required.
From point of engagement the post holder will identify where pastoral support is required and be responsible for identifying learners who may need to undertake additional training such as functional skills, dyslexia, learning difficulties/barriers & liaise with the appropriate leads/educators to put place an action plans to support learners and review progress on a regular basis.
To contribute to the development of scheme of works and lesson plans, delivery and evaluation of programmes across the functions ensuring that there is consistency and standardised practice with external agency requirements.
