Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 5 office manager position within UHB, based at Chelmsley Wood primary Care Centre.

This is a part-time role for 30 hours per week, leading an admin team of 4 team members, who provide admin and clerical support for the Children's Community Therapy Teams. This includes the Children's Specialist Assessment Service, Occupational Therapy, Speech and language therapy and Physiotherapy teams.

Are you keen to progress into an office manager, leadership position? Are you passionate, able to use your initiative and motivated to lead the admin team to provide support for the children's therapy services? If so, then you could be the person we are looking for;

The candidate will need to possess a strong administrative background enabling them to support the service to a high standard, providing efficient and professional administrative support. This is a busy and varied role.

We can offer flexible working across the week and support to candidates that would like to progress into a leadership role, but may not have had this experience to date.

Main duties of the job

*To be able to manage and support the admin and clerical team, supporting the Children's Community Therapy teams. This includes community paediatric, Speech and language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, along with the Specialist Assessment Service Autism Spectrum Disorder Pathway and Complex Needs Team.

*To work collaboratively alongside admin and clerical colleagues, clinical staff and the management team.

*To monitor and facilitate team members appraisals and provide mentorship and supervision where required.

*If required to facilitate, with the support of the Therapy Lead, staff through performance or disciplinary process.

*Work within and keep up to date with National and Trust legislation, guidelines, policies, procedures, protocols and code of conduct and ensure they are adhered to

*Facilitate and manage changes to working practices for own work area

*To establish and continue improvement of office information systems and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective service

*To be able to manage difficult conversations with service users, showing an ability to manage conflict and communicate in a clear and empathic manner.

*To be aware of technological used to support all processes.

*To develop and maintain an efficient filing systems
