We are hiring across specialities at Good Hope Hospital which includes Cardiology, Respiratory and Diabetes. With any role within UHB, each post comes with the support of our team and managers. This is extended by support from our School of Nursing, AHPs and Midwifery. Main duties of the job

Ward 8 and 10 are 33 bedded ward. The ward cares for a variety of diabetic conditions such as poor glycaemic control, hypoglycaemia and ketoacidosis. The team work in partnership with the highly skilled diabetic clinical nurse specialist's team, to ensure that patients receive the best outcomes. The ward has access to the diabetic professional development team, who will be able to guide you through your career path within the speciality. Endocrinology services actively promote self-wellbeing and strongly believe taking care of each other allows us all to provide excellence in care for our patients.

Ward 24 is a 28 bedded Respiratory which provides care for patients with a multitude of conditions including asthma, COPD, pleural effusions, pneumothorax, altered airways, chest drains, Type 1 and Type 2 Respiratory failures

We deliver a Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) Service within the ward which is greatly supported by our dedicated Respiratory physiotherapy team, our specialist NIV therapy support workers, our highly skilled nurses alongside the rest of the multi-disciplinary team to provide this specialist acute care. Ward 24 houses a Respiratory Acute Care Unit/Area which includes central monitoring and external NIV alarms; allowing for improved monitoring for Level 2 / acutely unwell patients.

Ward 23 at GHH covers a 6 bedded CCU and cardiology ward, a cath lab providing complex device implantations. The CCU manages patients requiring additional cardiology or CPAP support.
