We are seeking talented and motivated pharmacists to join the teams working across the Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals sites of University Hospitals Birmingham. These posts enable the delivery of a clinically focused and innovative pharmacy service working within a strong team of like-minded, friendly and enthusiastic pharmacists as part of a 7 day service.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic clinical pharmacists who are capable of working as part of a team, flexible regarding working practices and motivated with good communication skills and a desire to use their knowledge, skills and experience to improve patient care and influence healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines.
You will deliver a quality clinical pharmacy service with support and guidance from our friendly team. You will rotate every 13 weeks through a variety of specialties including cardiology, stroke, older people, general surgery, T&O, general medicine and cancer services, alternating with the extended service to the acute medicine wards which provides excellent patient contact working within the multidisciplinary team to provide first rate clinical pharmacy services from when a patient first presents in hospital.
You will join a team a large team of clinical support pharmacists working closely at your base site and with the team across all sites. You will be supported by a team of more experienced pharmacists.
There will be the opportunity to undertake a clinical diploma or the RPS Foundation Programme and subsequently non-medical prescribing qualification.
After an initial training period you will join a team of clinical pharmacists who operate an on-call service from home and be provided with a laptop and all appropriate resources, including advisory support from a senior pharmacist when required, together with weekend and bank holiday services.
