Job summary
This role will suit a pharmacist who is willing to grow and
develop. A person who is passionate about putting the patient at the centre and
empowering them to get the best out of their medicines. It is about truly
multidiscipinary work and patient safety.
There will be the opportunity to work with our colleagues in
the acute hospital to broaden your experience.
You will gain experience in working with specialist
palliative care and rehabilitation patients and be involved in redesigning
services in the community.
Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive registered pharmacist to join our team delivering innovative pharmacy services to the community.
No two days will be the same; you will have patient contact; you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; you will problem solve, and you will have the opportunity to shape the pharmacy service you deliver.
Prospective candidates should be efficient, enthusiastic, and confident to work autonomously within a supportive team and their sphere of competence. They should have excellent communication skills as the job will involve liaising with social care, clinical and community teams as well as patients and their carers.
You will have a desire to improve patient outcomes; an aspiration to participate in research and the will to learn and develop together with the opportunity to influence the future of pharmacy services.
You will have a Master's in Pharmacy, or equivalent, independent non-medical prescribing qualification and clinical diploma. You will also be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
If you are not already an independent pharmacist prescriber and do not have a postgraduate clinical diploma, you must be willing to gain these qualifications and will be supported to do so. You will be offered a band 6 post and progress to band 7 following satisfactory completion of the qualifications and performance review.

audits as agreed including collecting and recording data for KPIs
To support the wider pharmacy and
ECCH teams in delivering safe patient centred care through implementation of
the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation strategy including providing professional advice; training
and education; developing and reviewing relevant policies and SOPs
To supervise less experienced
