Job summary

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Ward based Domestic Services Team located at Beccles Hospital.

We are recruiting for a part time post which covers a 14 day rota working 7 of those days. Each shift is 2 hours from 17:30 to 19:30. The 14 day rota is split between two team members.

You will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness in a safe working environment on the ward for patients, staff and visiting family members.

The successful post holder will be part of a team working within our Estates, Facilities and Hotel services Department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service.

Main duties of the job

This post covers early evening. You will be responsible for the evening cleaning on a busy community hospital ward, cleaning to the NHS Standards for Cleanliness. You will be responsible for prioritising your own workload during your allotted shift period.

You will work in a set two week shift/rota pattern on the ward, cleaning all toilets, cleaning all touch points, emptying all waste bins, household and clinical and then disposing of the waste in the appropriate containers outside of the ward.

You will be required to mop and hoover specified areas using provided cleaning solutions as per their COSHH instructions.

Attention to detail and time keeping is a requirement for this role.
