Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Golden Hello £2,500

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Benefits £2,500 Golden Hello payment, paid in three instalments.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with a special interest in voice to join our friendly and supportive team. The core post will comprise 0.6 WTE voice but could include up to 0.4 WTE community dysphagia in addition and therefore we would welcome applicants who would like a full or part time post. With the development of telehealth interventions, remote working is a very real possibility, so your location need not be a barrier. Our service uniquely covers both hospital and community settings, so there will be scope to develop your experience across both areas. This job will provide an excellent opportunity for you to develop closer links with our ENT colleagues in Norfolk including the potential to attend videofluoroscopy and FEES clinics.

Benefits £2,500 Golden Hello payment, paid in three instalments.

This post attracts a "Golden Hello" payment of £2,500 (taxable): £500 will become payable on appointment, a further £1,000 will become payable after 6 months in post and the final £1,000 will become payable after 12 months in post (pro rata if applicable). Please note that the Golden Hello is not available to internal applicants.

Main duties of the job

As this position may include dysphagia assessment and intervention, the applicant should have appropriate post graduate training and experience for that element. We work across Great Yarmouth and Waveney Localities and as a Social Enterprise place a huge amount of importance on collaborative working. This is demonstrated by our connection with a neighbouring acute trust to provide regular supervision and support by specialist clinicians in voice/head and neck to the post holder. This is a prime time to join our team; we have seen considerable expansion with the addition of two new full time community posts which will enable innovative development of the service. If this post piques your interest, please give us a call for an informal chat.
