Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be responsible for the day to day running of the stores located in the community. The postholder will deal with deliveries in a timely manner to ensure clinical need can be met and be responsible for all aspects of stock control, including unpacking, picking, packing and disposal. You will be responsible for reviewing stock levels of consumables regularly, reporting shortages and excesses, planning the re-ordering of items within the remit of this post, and maintain clear stock rotation at all times.
This post is to manage stores across our sites in the localities of Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Martham and Lowestoft, however it will also be necessary to deliver stock to our satellite sites across the area. The ability to handle and move bulk items, whilst following organisation's moving and handling policy is essential.
The role also involves the transportation of pool cars for servicing, MOT, and other essential requirements. The postholder will need a flexible approach as working hours are determined by delivery times and therefore subject to change.
Full-time and part-time positions will be considered.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will be to stock and maintain stores across East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) sites, including, but not limited to, Beccles Hospital, Hamilton House, Kirkley Mill, Shrublands Health Centre, Yare House, Northgate Hospital and Marham.
Responsible for ordering stock in line with the sites stock baseline numbers.
Responsible for maintaining the stockroom in line with Health & Safety requirements.
Responsible for receiving, storing, packing and/or unpacking of goods in a timely manner.
Ensure stock is rotated to reduce waste from out-of-date goods.
Ensure correct storage of perishable goods.
Picking and packing of patient-specific stock to designated time frames, raising any issues of missing stock to the Team Lead for each site.
Delivering stock to other sites across the ECCH area as the need arises.
Ability to handle and move bulk items, whilst following organisation's moving and handling policy.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the stock rooms.
Supporting our Medical Devices Team with any P-store requirements.
Supporting the admin and estates departments with the transportation of pool cars for servicing, MOT, and other essential requirements.
