Service Lead Public Health Nursing Greenwich 0 to 4 - Band 8a
£61,631 - £68,623 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
30 hrs per week
Bromley Healthcare provides public health nursing services in the London boroughs of Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley and is recruiting for the Service Lead in the London Borough of Greenwich. We are looking for a highly motivated dynamic SCPHN (School Nursing or Health Visiting) who has significant experience working with children and families and leading and managing SCPHN teams.
The post holder will work closely with the Heads of Public Health Nursing and Service Leads across the tri-borough Public Health Nursing services, to both integrate and transform the 0 to 4 and 0 to 19 services. You will have responsibility for the operational leadership and management of the public health nursing service and contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the service in line with Bromley Healthcare's strategic priorities, South East London Integrated Care System, and national policy and directives.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for operational management of the 0-4 Children's Public Health service in Greenwich ensuring a clinically effective and high-quality 0-4 service that uses research-based practice to plan,deliver and evaluate public health nursing interventions.
To work closely with the Bromley and Bexley Service Leads and Heads of Public Health Nursing in the strategic development of the service in line with recommended best practice guidelines and to develop strong partnerships with all relevant stakeholders, with specific emphasis on the further development of joint working arrangements with other Children's Services, Local Authority, Primary Care, Mental Health Services and Social Care.
To lead and inspire the service to ensure that all targets and KPIs in the service specification are met and that safe and effective clinical care is maintained across the service. Where there are issues the post holder must ensure that there are processes in place to support this and take corrective action when appropriate.
To manage the service budget and ensure that it is line with the expected forecast outrun.
To work closely with the Director of Children and Young People's Services, Head of Children's Nursing, General Manager for CYP services, Safer Care Team, and other senior staff as part of an effective management team that is committed to providing a high-quality service.
