Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to join our staff bank. These flexible opportunities include both
ad hoc and regular work within our UCR Therapy services, supporting clients across Bromley. We are particularly interested in hearing from therapists with specialist skills and experience in:
- Generalist therapists
- Pulmonary rehabilitation
- Ward-based rehabilitation
- Neurorehabilitation
We also welcome applications from those seeking
remote-only roles.
About the roleThe post holder will deliver high-quality, specialist intervention to clients living in their own homes or residential care settings. You will provide comprehensive assessments, develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans, and work collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to reduce the impact of disability and ill health. Main duties of the job
As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for enabling the client to achieve and maintain a level of independent functioning in order to remain at home or the most appropriate alternative community setting.
You will be required to: apply a high level of understanding of the effect of disability and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the clients' social and physical environment.
To identify and develop own area of specialism and expertise, and contribute to the resource base within the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Service and other professional groups.
Remote/virtual assessments also available.

To independently manage a caseload of clients with complex needs.
To provide and contribute to the development of an effective UCR Therapy Service by demonstration of clinical reasoning through assessment and management of patients referred to the service ensuring a high professional standard of care.
To perform assessments and Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy interventions leading to the formulation of intervention options which reduce the consequence of disability and optimise the service users functional ability and independence.
To use a range of standardised and non standardised assessment tools and techniques to identify presenting strengths and difficulties.
To refine treatment techniques in line with the most recent evidence of clinical effectiveness by evaluating and implementing key developments and promoting discussion within the UCR Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Teams.
To devise Physiotherapy programmes which may be implemented and supported by other members of the multidisciplinary team.
To fulfil legal requirements and demonstrate clinical reasoning within documentation.
To actively ensure the implementation of and adherence to issues associated with clinical governance, policies and procedures of Bromley Healthcare and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy/Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
To use a client centred goal focused approach using a range of specialist treatment interventions, and to continually evaluate these in order to determine further needs.
To offer assessment, advice and recommendations to clients, carers and/or other professionals regarding specialist equipment for the promotion of independence and safety. Completion of risk assessments for informal carers.
