Job summary

ESR Workforce and Payroll Assistant - Band 3

£25,838 - £27,285 per annum inc HCAS

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day administrative work within the HR team; ensuring that standard HR processes are followed and a high level of customer service is provided to staff, managers and other external organisations and members of the public who contact the HR team.

The post holder will support with the day to day ESR inputting and contribute to the set up and maintenance of the elements of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) They will also support users of relevant E-Systems and help ensure optimal use of the E-Systems.

Main duties of the job

Administration within the HR team, including but not limited to:Monitoring and dealing with queries that are received into generic HR inboxes.

Processing employment and other reference inquiries on an accurate and timely basis.

Call handling within the HR team, including but not limited to:Answering the telephone and acting as the first point of contact within the team for HR queries.

Calling staff and other organisations/referees to chase information and/or documents

Payroll and ESRAccurate and timely inputting of ESR forms (starter/leavers/change forms). This will involve checking the information provided and clarifying any additional information required through liaison with departmental managers.

Ensure that ESR forms are processed in accordance with payroll processing deadlines, minimising the risk of under/overpayments caused by late processing.
