We
are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Mental
Health First Response Service based in Crownhill, Plymouth.
The
team promotes an innovative way of working, triaging and responding
to crisis referrals using both
tele-coaching and video communication technology. The
role encompasses the NHS principle; right care, right time and right place. The
First Response Service triages mental health crisis calls and referrals,
providing tele-coaching psychologically informed interventions, support,
guidance and signposting. The service further delivers timely and responsive
face to face assessments where indicated.
The role of
Video / Telecoach provides a range of
psychotherapeutic and social interventions for people experiencing a mental health crisis. The role will also include an effective
working knowledge of the voluntary sector as well as an understanding of the
needs of carers and family.
Main duties of the job
The
post involves working with people of all ages (Children and Young People, Adults and Older People) experiencing a mental health crisis via the telephone or over video and will often be working with a high level of distress.
The role will also require working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within a multi disciplinary team in delivering services. The role requires working over a 7-day week, 24 hours a day service for 365 days a year working 12 hr shifts.
This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route; please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.
