Job summary

37.5 hours per week.

To work with the Emergency Care Therapy Team (ECTT) on a day-to-day basis providing senior clinical leadership to utilise alternative to admission pathways for people in ED and hot floor, including short stay and same day emergency care.

The role is pivotal in providing leadership within the team and support change management to develop and improve the service. The IA2A model means will be working in partnership and with specialist services across Livewell and UHP.

As a senior clinician you may be required as part of your role to undertake the comprehensive assessment of service users, including those with a highly complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills, and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate and implement a specialised programme of care and to support junior staff in this work.

The Clinical Lead will work in collaboration with the Team Managers, Practice Leads and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team across Community Services and UHP to enhance the quality of service provision in all domains.

The role provides a visible, accessible and authoritative clinical leadership presence within the service. The role will define and assure high standards of quality care, through their clinical presence and vision for the development of IA2A services for staff and those who use the service.

Main duties of the job

To provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence within services. To define and assure high standards of quality care, through their clinical presence and vision for the development of Alternative to Admission services for all staff and those who use the services. Management of good clinical practice across the teams will be a crucial part of this role.

Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the MDT to ensure effective and appropriate delivery of care, ensuring effective throughput of service users.

Ensure supervision and effective management of the capacity of the team, using tools such as caseload supervision and discussion and report manager.

Actively support the Directorate Manager in collaboration with other Leads in the development of services, including the formulation of protocols, policies and strategy.
