As a Band 3 Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and assisting clinical staff to provide safe, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with delivery of nursing care and holistic assessment of patients ongoing daily living activities.
- Supporting clinical interventions under supervision of RGN .
- Monitoring and recording observations to ensure patient safety.
- Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for all individuals.

Main duties of the job
The Opportunity
We are seeking a caring, proactive, and skilled Health Care Assistant Band 3to join our South Hams community teams. You will support patients in their own homes, delivering safe, effective care under the direction and delegation of Registered Professionals. This is a role where youll make a visible difference every day, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing across coastal and rural communities.
This Band 3 role is ideal if you have solid care experience e.g., Care Certificate and/or QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Careand your ready to broaden your clinical skills, take on enhanced responsibilities, and contribute to a genuinely values led service.
This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route; please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.
