Job summary

37.5 hours per week. This is a Recruit to Train post, if successful at interview you will be undertaking the - CBT-P Strand of training. The post holder will be based in Plymouth Insight Early intervention for psychosis team.

Following completion of the training you will be in a permanent position offering CBT interventions within this pathway.

The course undertaken at Exeter University, it will provide specialist post qualification training in CBT for professionals with experience of working within a mental health setting with people experiencing psychosis.

The successful candidate/s will undertake 2-year Part-time training starting in January. This is a training course funded by NHS England Workforce Training and Education (formally Health Education England) trainees will be studying at the University of Exeter 2 days a week and within the workplace setting 3 days per week.

During this time you will hold a Small case load of client who you will care co-ordinate on the days you are not at university.

Main duties of the job

Trainees will be required to Care co ordinate a small case load of people experiencing first episode psychosis alongside there university course, Once fully qualified there will be no expectation to care co-ordinate as part of your role.

Trainees will work within the team care co-ordinating for 3 days of the week and 2 days will be allocated to university time.

Trainees will be required to video record therapy sessions as part of their training.

Trainees will have the opportunity to observe at least 6 hours practice of an experienced CBT therapist throughout the year.

Trainees will have a minimum of 1 hour per week CBT supervision from a BABCP accredited supervisor (who holds or is undertaking the CYP IAPT supervisors course).

Following completion of the training you will be in a substantive post with Early intervention pathway, undertaking CBT interventions.
