22.5 hours per week. A
24-month fixed term position acting as the Regional Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) Lead. This is an exciting new post, developed as
part of Livewell SW hosting the Southwest Mental Health Workforce Development
Unit. The unit is a brand-new innovation between Livewell SW and the regional
NHSE mental health team set up to develop the workforce across
the region.
We
are looking for an innovative candidate who will lead in the development of
this new CBTp network and will be key to developing both the role and network. They will provide clinical leadership
and champion the CBTp network and will advise on further development
of CBTp supervision capacity in the southwest.
We
are looking for someone who has experience of providing, developing, and
managing highly specialist CBTp interventions to service users with psychosis
and bipolar and for communicating CBT formulations and treatment plans to
carers and professional colleagues.
The
hours are negotiable but are expected to be between 1 and 3 days
per week. Candidates may be
Seconded from their current posts or appointed via a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) agreement.

Main duties of the job
- Support development
and provision of a CBT for Psychosis and Bipolar (CBTp) clinical network across
the southwest
- Provide clinical
leadership and champion the CBTp network within the southwest
- Audit then increase CBTp
supervision capacity within the southwest
- Provide CBTp supervision
to trainee CBT therapists where needed
- Provide clinical advice to
constituent organisations (STPs, commissioners and providers) in relation to
CBTp
- Communicate the clinical
networks focus on quality and outcomes from national through to local level,
allowing the local network to feed ideas and input back to NHS England (as
appropriate).
- Raise awareness of training courses
that increase the capacity, and especially the supervision capacity of the CBTp
workforce to deliver evidenced based therapies.
- Foster a culture of
multi-professional engagement in CBTp, collaborating and
engaging with clinical colleagues to share best practice and deliver ambitious
programmes of quality improvement.
- Maintain credibility with
all key players within the CBTp network community, fostering a culture of
collaboration for the delivery of equitable, high-quality care. At times this
will include acting as an honest broker reconciling conflicting views and
interests.
- Understand, communicate
and support the implementation of clinical policy relating to CBTp.
- Highlight, promote and
report innovative approaches to education and training, particularly their
impact on CBTp services across the region.
