Livewell
Southwest alongside Plymouth City Council were successful in their joint bid to
obtain Youth Investment Funding to support to develop green & blue
services for children & young people to access to improve & promote their
mental health & well-being. This role will be hosted by Livewell Southwest under
CAMHS Early Help Pathway.
This
B7 post is a fixed term 24 month contract working 30 hours a week within the
I-THRIVE model.
We
are delighted to invite applications for the above post for a 24 month fixed
term contract. This role will predominantly be based at Poole Farm with a focus on developing the Green Youth
Services delivering various ecological therapeutic interventions to engage
children & young people with nature. This is proven early
intervention method to improve mental health & wellbeing by building
resilience through nature. Part of this role will also include developing blue
services through Plymouths Ocean Skills hub promoting childrens mental health
& well-being and will include Lido, Plymouth Sound & The Hoe.
This
post will work alongside support staff, volunteers and youth support workers
developing this part of Green & Blue Youth Services and delivering various
interventions incorporating outcome measures to evidence the efficacy and
impact of the interventions.
Main duties of the job
This
post will work alongside support staff, volunteers and youth support workers

This
post will support in shaping & developing services for youth services
across the city.
Experience
of delivery of one-to-one & group interventions to children & young
people is essential along with excellent communication skills.
This
post will involve leadership and governance of the developing this pilot
along with multi-agency working with providers across Plymouth.
This
post requires a professional registration in nursing, social work or OT with experience
of working with children & young people and mental health.
This post will be predominantly
working with 11-18 year olds and up to 25 years if they have SEND needs. Ecotherapy
interventions provided are going to be part of the development of youth investment
funding services and the existing programme of green & blue youth services.
This post will have a strong
commitment to participation to develop new service delivery within green &
blue spaces while promoting mental health & well-being in children &
young people.
Due to the variation of this
role along with the delivery of interventions, the post-holder will need to
have a degree of flexibility incorporating weekends, evenings and school
holidays.

Potential exposure to verbal & physical aggression. The working environment includes exposure to high levels of distress in others.
- The nature of the working environment requires regular & frequent travel from base to & between the above-mentioned settings.
- The role will require working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers other practitioners within a multi-disciplinary team in delivering services.
- The CAMHS provides a 7-day a week, 24-hours a day service for 365 days a year working shifts. You may be required to work any of these hours to support pathway development.
