37.5 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior People Relations Advisor to work within the People Team at Livewell Southwest.
The Senior People Relations Advisor will report to the People Business Partners and will provide a customer-focussed, high quality, responsive advisory service and provide a full range of Employee Relations support and specialist advice to managers.
The Senior People Relations Advisor will support the implementation of organisational change, undertake casework which may be complex and sensitive and workforce projects to enable the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives and increase workforce productivity. They will develop and deliver training and development on employee relations matters, contribute to HR policy development and revision taking account of current employment legislation. They will line manage and help develop the People Relations team.
The Senior People Relations Advisor will support the Business Partner approach to HR management, working in partnership with line management throughout designated service areas to provide a comprehensive and developmental HR service to support the organisations business objectives.
You will be educated to graduate level (acquired through degree and professional CIPD qualification at Level 7) and have significant experience as an HR/People Relations Advisor.
You will be a Chartered Member of the CIPD or working towards and awaiting accreditation.
Main duties of the job
The role will include some travel within Plymouth and South Devon for meetings however the majority of time you will be working from home.
Provide an efficient and effective HR service underpinned by professional HR knowledge and skill.
In conjunction with the People Business Partners leading and/or co-ordinate and support all organisational change activity including TUPE.
Maintain an expertise in employment law and good HR practice in order to be able to provide accurate advice to managers and employees on employment legislation and its implications to the organisation.
Support the People Business Partners in embedding employee engagement in the service area.
Liaise with employment lawyers as required.
Coach, mentoring and developing less experienced members of the People team on people related matters.
Maintain personal and continuous professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, participate in appropriate training and development activities and encourage and support employee development and training.
Undertake other duties commensurate to the role and banding of the post.
Deputise for the People Business Partners where necessary.
