This is a dynamic split post for an experienced and dedicated speech and language therapist. The successful candidate will lead our voice service and deliver a highly specialist outpatient service for adults with voice disorders, as well as provide expert input to acute inpatient general medical wards.

As a highly specialist SLT, you will:

Collaborate & Innovate: Work within MDT and across organisational boundaries with Provide and MSEFT to enhance and streamline service delivery.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the Broomfield Hospital Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team in the provision of a highly specialist service to adults with voice disorders in an outpatient setting as well as to adults in acute inpatient wards.

To autonomously lead and manage the voice service, offering highly specialist assessment and therapy for patients experiencing voice difficulties.

To contribute to the delivery of instrumental assessment including videofluoroscopy and FEES and to provide cover for other clinicians as required.

Supervise and develop junior members of the team within the service.

In line with requirements of other Band 7s on site, to deputise for the Operational Lead in respect of operational management of the service as required.
