Nottingham CityCares Childrens Public Health 0-19 Nursing Service is excited to be expanding the number of Children and Young People Support Workers within their integrated team.

Our aim is to offer a responsive service to meet the holistic public health needs of children, young people and families in order to give every child in Nottingham City the best start in life.
As part of the team, you will support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and contribute to the delivery of universal public health messages, supporting the health and well-being of infants, children and their families in homes and community settings across Nottingham City.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who have a passion for giving children the best start in life and improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Main duties of the job
The role of a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker involves assessing the health and development of infants and children at 9-12 months, 2-2.5 years and 3 years 4 months (Pre-School READY Review) and National Child Measurement Programme alongside supporting with the delivery of health promotion groups. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to the early identification of health and developmental needs, provide evidence based health promotion messages in line with local and national policy and empower parents and carers to support their childs health and wellbeing.
