Nottingham CityCare’s Children’s Public Health 0-19 Nursing Service is excited to be expanding the number of Children, Young People Support Workers in their integrated team.

As part of the team, you will support the delivery of the Healthy Child programme and contribute to the delivery of public health interventions, supporting the health and well-being of babies, children, young people and their families in the home, clinic settings, schools and community settings in Nottingham City.

This role could be based at any of the following sites across Nottingham City, Southglade, Mary Potter, Broxtowe CC, Wollaton HC, Bulwell, Riverside, Southglade Access Centre, Sherwood HC, Sneinton HC, Clifton.
Main duties of the job
· Your role will be to undertake universal Healthy Child Programme developmental reviews and public health interventions delegated by the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
· You will also support the delivery of groups and clinics e.g. Baby Clinics, First Foods weaning and Breastfeeding peer support groups and support with targeted health promotion initiatives in a variety of settings e.g. school assemblies, displays and health promotion focused events.
· You will undertake growth measurements of babies, children and young people and plotting of growth measurements; to include National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) and healthy weight support as directed.
· You will support the team with clinical processes e.g., ensuring that rooms are set up for clinics, that equipment is clean, that health promotion literature is available and health promotion displays are up to date.
· You will need to work in accordance with Nottingham City Local Safeguarding Children’s Board procedures.
· You will need to provide and receive routine information, orally, in writing or electronically in line with Nottingham CityCare policy and abiding by legal requirements.

· To maintain contemporaneous healthcare records using SystmOne in line with National and Nottingham CityCare’s policies and procedures.
· Work using own initiative within the limitations of the role; always promoting high quality care and Nottingham CityCare’s values and behaviours.
