Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Treatment Room nurse to work Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays at Nottingham CityCare Treatment Room from the Urgent Treatment Centre, Seaton House, London Road, Nottingham, NG2 4LA.
This post is to cover a clinic 8am to 4pm. Patients are under the care of the Practice Nurse/ GP and require continuation of wound care. Patients may also be referred in following surgery and require out of hours wound checks. The candidate would be solely running the clinic from the Urgent Treatment Centre so would be expected to make clinical decision regarding patient care.
A comprehensive knowledge regarding wound care is required for this role.

The service provides routine planned Treatment Room services on an appointment only basis for patients requiring daily or alternate day treatment room services for wound care to patients able to attend a clinic.

The Treatment Room provides wound care for complex wounds and non complex wounds, arterial leg ulcers, venous leg ulcers (for management prior to referral to specialist District Nursing services) cavity wounds or other wounds which may require a weekend dressing change.
To provide holistic and individualised care to patients and carers, working both autonomously and as part of a team.
Dimensions
To provide nursing care across a diverse population for patients who are registered with an identified Nottingham City or Nottingham County GP.
The service will be available on a Saturday and Sunday, including bank holidays and will be delivered during hours 8:00am to 16:00 hours to meet the needs of the population.
To participate actively in the services training strategy, including mandatory training and essential training and any other training if identified necessary for this role.
To participate in continuing professional development as relevant to maintain NMC registration requirements.
To supervise and support student nurses on placements with the community nursing teams.
