Job summary

We are a bed based Rehabilitation, Re-enablement and Recovery unit located in Grimsby. Our multi-disciplinary service consists of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Care staff who all work collaboratively to prevent unnecessary and lengthy stays in hospital or admission into long term care, wherever possible.

We provide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery and regain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safely and with any additional support in place. This could be following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or a significant health event.

Main duties of the job

Senior Physiotherapist

Base: Community Inpatient Unit, Peterhouse Road, Grimsby, DN34 5UX

37.5 Hours a week, permanent

Salary Range 6 £36,806 - £44,717 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically confident Senior Physiotherapist to join the multidisciplinary team within our Community Inpatient Unit (CIU).

You will play a key role in delivering personalised rehabilitation interventions and helping service users reach their full recovery potential.

You will provide autonomous clinical assessment, advanced treatment planning, and evidencebased interventions for service users with a wide range of physical and functional needs. Working closely with the Senior Specialist Physiotherapist and wider team, you will contribute to safe and effective discharge planning, supervise junior staff and Therapy Instructors and support service development to maintain the high standards expected within the CIU. The role requires professional leadership, strong clinical reasoning and a commitment to collaborative working to ensure continuity and quality of rehabilitation care. You will follow organisational protocols and clinical governance frameworks while contributing proactively to an environment that prioritises patient safety, dignity and wellbeing.
