Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Autism Support Worker to join the Adult Autism Service.

The service provides social care intervention for autistic adults (without a Learning Disability). This could be in their own home or in community settings. The service works in collaboration with a range of professionals across the area. This service is preventative in nature and is designed to support people to develop coping strategies to prevent them from becoming socially isolated and developing mental health problems that get in the way of them living an ordinary life.

The role of the Autism Support Worker (ASW) is to deliver social care support to autistic adults to enable them to gain confidence and overcome anxieties associated with their autism so that they can engage in everyday life.

We ask that you have a genuine passion for working with autistic people; the ability to value the resources individuals bring with them and to use these to effectively improve their lives and those of others.

You will be a really good listener and someone who knows the value of inspiring hope and can find meaningful ways to involve the people who use our services to deliver better outcomes.

Most importantly you should be a really good communicator and engage in MDT Meetings, providing a safe space for people to come back to.

Please note that Care Plus Group are not currently registered to sponsor applicants from outside the EU and EEA.
