An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative physiotherapist to work in our musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy service. The position would be suitable for newly qualified physiotherapists as well as individuals with experience who are interested in a static musculoskeletal role. The successful applicant will work as part of the physiotherapy team which is based at MCH House in Gillingham and provides opportunities for outreach clinic work across Medway and Swale.
We are looking for someone who is a good communicator, a team member, demonstrates a flexible approach to a busy caseload and has good clinical reasoning skills.
Main duties of the job
- To undertake a physiotherapy role under the direction and supervision of the senior physiotherapist including the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the outpatient physiotherapy service at MCH House, Gillingham.
- As an autonomous practitioner - taking a major role in the assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty who may have acute, complex and / or chronic presentations. To determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated.
- The post holder may also be expected to work flexible hours to help the team provide a highly accessible service and we do support four day weeks/nine day fortnights.
- Participate in regular in-service training and supervision sessions as part of their continuing professional development.
- The successful applicant will work with a number of senior and specialist clinicians, including extended scope practitioners within the orthopaedic clinical assessment service (CAS).
