Job summary

If successful you will contribute to and promote the Safeguarding agenda for the Children's Public Health service working within the 0-5 year age group, including the Mental Capacity Act, domestic abuse, child protection and Prevent within Medway Community Healthcare in line with national and local guidance. You will alsodevelop and maintain service level systems to ensure Public Health Nursing is correctly and adequately represented at multi-agency safeguarding meetings.

Main duties of the job

o To provide support and assurance to Public Health Nursing service in regards to attendance and report writing for multi-agency safeguarding meetingso To represent Public Health Nursing at multi agency safeguarding meetings were requiredo To report compliance and escalate concerns in regards to Public Health Nursing engagement with multi-agency safeguarding meetingso To report compliance and escalate concerns regarding engagement with safeguarding supervision.

  1. Knowledge, training and experience
  • Registered nurse, allied health professional or social worker with 5 years post registration experience.
  • Educated or working towards degree level.

  • Training in supervision and experience of facilitating supervision where safeguarding is the focus.
