Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and
motivated nurse or paramedic to join the Kingston Rapid Response Team. This is
an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and friendly team of nurses and paramedics
providing the 2-hour urgent community response service alongside therapists and
other community teams.
The ideal candidate should be able to
plan and prioritise their own workload, be confident in independent decision making,
with an awareness or experience of physical assessment.
The
position would suit an experienced clinician who is looking to develop skills
in advanced clinical and autonomous practice. Appropriate training, development
and support will be provided.
This is a permanent post and is for 37.5
hours per week. The usual working hours
are 0800-1800 or 1000-2000, working 4 shifts across 7 days. This role will be
required to work weekends.
You will be mostly based at Hollyfield
House although you will also need to be able to travel to our other sites as
needed.

Main duties of the job
- Visiting
people in their own home experiencing a health crisis, who require urgent
assessment and intervention with a view to preventing unnecessary hospital
admission.
- Using
physical assessment and clinical decision making skills to assess and manage
undifferentiated clinical presentations.
- Providing
high quality, safe and effective care for a range of conditions.
- Triage
of Rapid Response referrals, allocation to the team and signposting to other
services.
- Working
collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex health and
social care needs.
- Contributing
to audit, service development and quality improvement initiatives led by senior
colleagues
- Contributing
to supervision for the team, junior colleagues and students
