Main duties of the job
We
are looking for a qualified, experienced, innovative and highly motivated CASH
Nurse to join the CASH Team. The
role involves working autonomously and as part of our multi-disciplinary team
across sexual health services in the London Borough of Kingston. YHC CASH service provides
contraception and sexual health care to residents in SW London and Surrey, we
are looking for applicants who are driven, efficient and able to work at a fast
pace whilst maintaining amazing customer service and professionalism. Our
service is well respected and trusted by our patients and we are keen to work
with Nurses who share our commitment to the care we provide.
The successful candidate will be
responsible for the leadership and management of junior staff members and the
provision of clinical services including LARCS and cervical screening
procedures.

1.
Job Purpose
Lead the practitioners and admin staff to deliver a
clinically effective, evidence-based service in line with local and national
service priorities and develop tools to improve quality of service within the
sexual health nursing team.
To
contribute to development of the strategy for current and future delivery of
the CASH service
To
contribute to staff development 1-1s, appraisal, induction, training and
professional development
To
provide clinical nursing leadership for Sexual and Reproductive Health
Services (SRH), taking the lead on specific professional initiatives.
To
contribute to service development, particularly to develop integrated and
partnership working and to develop improved patient pathways across
primary/secondary care.
To
provide a holistic CASH service including clinical procedures.
Acts as role model, assessor and mentor for
the nursing team, inspiring staff and students with their vision and values
Take
a lead with the other managers in investigation of incidents and ensure
learning occurs as appropriate to the wider team/s
Assist
the Service Lead to implement changes required to improve service delivery,
supporting staff through the process of change
Ensures
that stock and other resources are available and levels are maintained. This
includes the ordering and rotation of stock and equipment.

development and support of CASH team members.
To network effectively with other statutory and
voluntary organisations to develop multi-agency agreement on action to meet
the sexual health needs of the population, in particular those of vulnerable
or excluded groups of people, and to influence the network to use evidence-based
approaches to interventions or to pilot innovative health promotion projects.

Ensure that the service meets national and local
targets and performance indicators
Work with clinical colleagues to ensure
policies/procedures/protocols are in place for patient care that are
responsive and evidence based
Ensure the smooth running of the service responding
to unforeseen circumstances, unpredictable workloads and staff shortages.
Provide on-going training and support professional
development of CASH team members.
Review and allocate staff responsibilities and
duties, to ensure that the appropriate skill mix meets and develops service
demands
Responsible for auditing own practice and for undertaking
audits in line with annual clinical audit plan, and national requirements
including environmental audits (infection control), NICE etc.
