An exciting opportunity to lead our Specialist Back and Neck
Service has become available. We are seeking a highly skilled, passionate,
experienced clinician possessing advanced practice qualifications and
management skills to become a central part of our leadership team. You will be
working within a dynamic group of clinicians and supporting service colleagues
to shape and deliver spinal services to complex patients.This is an ideal
opportunity to utilise your leadership and specialist clinical skills in
assessment and management of spinal pathology.
You will work both independently and as part of a
multidisciplinary team with spinal and pain consultants in the management of a
complex chronic and sub-acute back and neck pain caseload.
The full-time role based across Suffolk, and there is
flexibility with regard to working location within Suffolk.
Main duties of the job
Provide strategic, professional, clinical and operational
leadership for Advanced Practice Spinal Physiotherapists (APSPs)
Demonstrate leadership to empower the APSP workforce whilst
displaying inclusiveness to practitioners working at other levels of practice
Develop, implement and maintain a robust governance
framework for recruitment, employment, career and professional development, for
all APSPs.
Provide clinical and operational leadership and oversight of
the Back and Neck Service, ensuring that the Back and Neck service meets all
contractual requirements.
Ensure the Back and Neck Service delivers and continually
develops a highly advanced clinical care and service model which is informed by
the most contemporary best practice and evidence as guided through regional,
national and international standards.
To work closely with spinal consultants, pain consultants,
GPs and established primary and secondary care physiotherapist teams to support
the delivery of service change and drive innovation to provide best possible
patient experience of the Back and Neck Service across the company and through
the primary and secondary care systems and other partners such as social
prescribers, charities and social care
To maintain an expert, highly advanced, spinal clinical
caseload with complete professional autonomy, including patient assessment,
investigative procedures, diagnosis and treatment, to a highly complex group of
patients.
