Job summary

Join our supportive, friendly team to provide high quality stroke rehab in people's homes as part of an MDT. This post is fixed term to cover a secondment so could suit someone with a passion for aphasia rehab and wanting to give community work a try.

Previous experience of working as a registered clinician is preferred but support would be given to develop your skills regardless of experience.

We are looking for someone who can make a real difference to people after stroke, loves providing meaningful rehab on goals that are important to the person and is a great team player.

We are dedicated to providing learning opportunities and regular supervision with our highly skilled team.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems within the adult SLT service and stroke team
To work independently with the support and supervision of clinical leads
To work in patients' homes and community
To work as an integrated member of the SLT team and stroke team
To work with members of the multidisciplinary stroke team, including nursing, therapists, and assistant staff
To be involved in ongoing training to the multidisciplinary team.
To be part of a wider network of SLTs in Sirona including peer supervision and support
