Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Administrator to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team at Sirona care & health.

As part of the wider safeguarding administration team, you will provide essential administrative support across our Safeguarding Single Point of Access (SPA), Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH), and locality safeguarding teams as required. You will play a vital role in ensuring that safeguarding processes run smoothly and efficiently, supporting our specialist safeguarding nurses and the wider multi-agency team.

The role will primarily focus on supporting the SPA administrative functions, but you will also be involved in a range of safeguarding activities, including MARAC, MASH, multi-agency meetings, audits, reports, and case reviews.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with colleagues and partner agencies, contributing to the delivery of high-quality safeguarding services that protect vulnerable children and young people.

Main duties of the job

As a safeguarding administrator you will be key to the day-to-day functioning of the SPA team whilst also being available to work within other safeguarding workstreams of MASH and locality work. Your will have a role to report to and support the Senior safeguarding admin and Safeguarding manager by ensuring data is accurately recorded and inputted.

Working alongside Safeguarding nurses and Community Paediatricians. You will support the nurses with information requests, collecting, collating information and recording data to enable the smooth running of information flows in and out of SPA/MASH.

Essential

  • Experience of using Microsoft Word (create and format documents, mail merge), Microsoft Excel (create and format spreadsheets, simple formulae). Experience of databases such as EMIS (enter data, run simple reports) and producing reports/charts.
  • Experience of using/editing power-point presentations.
  • Experience of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of an administrative team.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of child protection administrative work including domestic abuse and MARAC as it relates to health would be advantageous for this post.

Qualifications

  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent - to include a C (4) Grade in English and Mathematics.
  • NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent administrative qualifications or study, and a willingness to undertake appropriate administrative training where appropriate.
