Job summary
Working in the Patient Safety Team which is part of the wider Quality and Safety team, this role will provide a full, effective, and comprehensive range of administrative support which will enable the team to fulfil its function to a high-quality standard.
You will have a high level of admin skills which can lay the foundation to train and upskill to meet the data handling requirements of the role. You will have a high level of knowledge and experience of Microsoft office applications which you will use to provide day to day support to the Patient Safety Team.
This role provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Quality and Safety and Patient Safety including governance. We welcome applications from both experienced staff and those ready to step up to the next level with transferable skills.
Currently this is a Hybrid working role with a mixture of home working and In-office days at our base in Yate, South Glos.
Main duties of the job
- To provide administrative support to the Patient Safety Team, working closely with the Patient Safety Facilitators.
- To manage the Patient Safety Team Inbox ensuring all emails are categorised and flagged accordingly, and all admin emails actioned.
- To assist the Patient Safety Team in all aspects of the day-to-day management of incidents.
- To manage the process of reporting Incidents to system partners and processing feedback received.
- Act as a primary point of contact (via the Patient Safety Phoneline and Inbox) for incident management queries and providing solutions on an ad hoc basis.
- To actively track progress with incidents, incident actions and associated tasks such as CQC notifications and Duty of Candour.
- To provide comprehensive meeting support, including pre and post meeting admin, minute/note taking, and action logging.
- To provide administrative support for the roll out of training across the Sirona.
- Work within own competencies to assist the patient safety team and escalate issues appropriately to ensure urgent situations are addressed swiftly.
- Manage own workload with minimal supervision.
- To support Sirona in meeting the requirements of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
- To actively support and promote a restorative, just and learn culture.
