Administrator for The Haven Team

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

The Haven helps asylum seekers and new refugees access health services and signposts to other relevant services. This service aims to improve access to healthcare for adults and children new to the country who have fled war and persecution.

We use interpreting and language support services for those that do not speak or read English. The team consists of GP's, adult and children nurses, health visitors and administrators.

Main duties of the job

You will form part of the team providing a full administrative service to the Haven team. You may also be required to offer administrative support to the Health Inclusion Service.

Your role will be supporting the patient pathway and working closely with other members of the administration and clinical teams to optimise patient experience and service delivery.

You will support effective and efficient delivery of the administration processes, including appointment booking, referral registration, caseload management, post-clinic actions, and onward referral to other providers. This may include the use of various systems, including e-referral, as well as our electronic notes system (EMIS). You will liaise with colleagues, patients and external contacts as required regarding complex messages/requests and patient queries, including sensitive information, to ensure the smooth running of the service. You will need to adapt your style of communication and use problem solving skills as appropriate.

You may also be required to support the development of administration rotas, support new and existing colleagues, and support audits and data quality.
