Job summary

The Care Home Team are a small and friendly service that offer support, training and guidance to care homes, including learning disability homes across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area. We are looking for a physiotherapist who is passionate about multi-professional working and frailty to join our team. This is an exciting and developing opportunity to engage with residents in care homes, supporting prevention of deterioration and movement as much as possible. This therapy engagement will work alongside our successful 6 monthly campaigns to improve understanding and key themes of care provided in care home.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this exciting opportunity will be to work collaboratively with the Care Home Support Leads and team lead to support therapy provision in care homes. Under the direction of the team , the successful candidate will work to fully embed and further develop the STEP - 'Start Today Exercise Program' to make this provision available and accessible to care homes across BNSSG. the work will focus on improving function and engagement in one of our most vulnerable populations.

A part of the role will involve some quality improvement activity to further develop existing programs of work and there will be an expectation to support data gathering, analysis and presenting of findings to system stakeholders.

The work will be dynamic and require travel across the BNSSG in a planned way as well as attendance at meetings and training events.
