Job summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to support the clinical development of the children's therapy team across the BNSSG area. The role will improve the health and wellbeing of the children, young people, their families, and carers through developing the clinical pathways for children with complex conditions and neuro disability.

Within this role, you will be using your expert clinical experience to help scope areas of clinical excellence, develop competencies, and embed best practice. The post holder will form part of the Therapies and SEND leadership team and will work collaboratively with the Professional Lead of Children's OT & PT to deliver service improvement, support the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing leadership as required.

Main duties of the job

You will be a key member of the children's therapies professional leadership team, taking responsibility for projects and quality improvement initiatives both within and beyond the therapy service

You will oversee the organisation, planning and reviewing of the neuro disability service taking a lead role in service design and quality improvement .

You will have responsibility for the management of a team of therapists including performance management, personal development plans, sickness, absence and disciplinary issues

You will demonstrate an advanced level of clinical decision-making and high-level clinical skills to assess and make clinical diagnoses; implement and evaluate specialist strategies and treatment programs to meet the needs of children with complex needs
