We are looking for a dynamic Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist who will provide strong, credible clinical leadership of the Integrated Network team. The role will have a clinical focus, ensuring the provision of high-quality clinical care, effectiveness and efficiency.

As a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you will work with other AHP Clinical leads within North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire to develop a standardized approach to therapy provision across the region and maintain a strong multi-professional ethos of professional respect, understanding in line with Sironas vision and values.

This role is a fixed term 28 hours per week contract until end of September 2024 and would be a great secondment opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist who wants the opportunity to step up and develop their clinical, leadership and operational skills further.

Main duties of the job

Within this role you will have responsibility for delivering quality, evidenced based therapy to our service users, oversee the clinical competence and development of therapy staff, students and apprentices and carry a small complex clinical caseload for those requiring a high level of expertise and experience.

You will work closely with operational leads, nurses, ACPs and our partner organisations to ensure patient flow and the consistent delivery of safe and effective care.

The purpose of this role is to provide strong, visible and credible senior clinical Occupational Therapy leadership and direction to the Occupational Therapists within the Integrated Network Teams in the Locality in the planning, provision, development and improvement of a range of clinical services. The role will have a clinical focus, ensuring the provision of high-quality clinical care, ensuring clinical effectiveness and efficiency.

You will provide clinical supervision of the INT Occupational Therapy staff and review the clinical supervision structure and processes. This will also include responsibility for supporting the rehabilitation of service users, carrying a small complex clinical caseload for those requiring a high level of expertise and experience. As the post holder you will work closely with the other clinical and managerial leads to ensure consistent delivery of safe and effective care and maintain a strong multi-professional ethos of professional respect.

  • Current registration HCPC registration Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrate high level analytical and complex decision making skills

Desirable

  • Masters level clinical qualification.
  • Coaching / Teaching and Assessing qualification / experience.
  • Knowledge of local, national, strategic and operational policy developments and an awareness of their implications.
  • Understanding of the primary care, secondary care and provider interface.
