Main duties of the job
When I first qualified, I worked privately
for just under a year, however I did not feel I was able to make progression
from here and I felt clinically poorly supported within this role. I was often
left to make clinical decisions by myself or advised to research decisions I
had made. Later a role came up in Bristol working for the community provider
and out of interest I applied for the role. From the very first point of
contact at my interview I felt it was a very warm and welcoming team and that
has not changed in my whole time working within it. Everyone is always
supportive and more than happy to help each other whether that be just bumping
into colleagues in clinic or a quick phone call. Importantly I felt that I had
the support and opportunity for progression that I was missing from my previous
role. Through regular support, such as regular meetings with my line manager to
clinical supervision I have been supported to grow professionally. This has not
been more evident than in the enthusiasm and support to progress into a band 6
role. The team still feels just as supportive and friendly as the day I first
started and while being new to the band 6 role the support and enthusiasm for
progression is just as clear. (Podiatrist testimonial)
