Main duties of the job
Due to an increase in attendances we are seeking an experienced, autonomous Emergency Nurse Practitioner who will work as part of a well-established, fun team seeing and treating adults and children with a range of undifferentiated minor injuries.
We are looking for someone to hit the ground running whilst being fully supported by the wider MIU team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the unit managers and alongside other ENPs and will support the healthcare assistants and administrators in their roles. The successful candidate will be competent and confident to make complex clinical decisions to see and treat and/or refer service users with minor injuries or illness. You will need to be a non- medical prescriber or commit to starting the course at the earliest opportunity. You must hold a valid IRMER certificate.
Delivery of urgent healthcare is constantly evolving, the unit currently offers unscheduled, walk-in face to face consultations, but booked appointments via NHS 111 and remote clinical assessment via virtual platforms and electronic clinical systems are in development. Candidates will need to be flexible and willing to undertake clinical duties via all these methods.
