The Lifetime Service provides Childrens Community Nursing and Psychology support for children that have, life limiting/life threatening conditions and/or are technology dependent. The Lifetime Service consists of the following teams: Community Childrens Nurisng core team, The Continuing Care Team (CCT), Lifetime Psychology, The Administration Teams which consist of Rota Coordinators and General Administrators.

This role will provide leadership to the administration team to ensure the smooth running of the administrative services provided across the Lifetime service. This will include oversight of the daily maintenance and composing of the off-duty roster for the Continuing Care Team, to support the team with reviewing administration processes to ensure maximum efficiency and to have oversight of the General Administration Team duties which includes the ordering of equipment and disposables.

This role will work in partnership with the Lifetime Leadership Team to develop and review processes and systems to ensure maximum efficiency across the service.

This role will be the link between the families, support workers, nurses and management overseeing the smooth operation of the service and making executive decisions based on logic and problem-solving skills.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive leadership to the administration team and the ability to use a range of administrative, leadership and computer-based skills.

This role will have oversight and the responsibility to ensure that accurate records are kept using the electronic roster system to record staff absences, including but not extensively: annual leave, sickness, and training.

To have awareness and oversight of the placement of new recruits within care teams induction planning and implementation via the rota as and when required.

To oversee and support the management of the hard equipment and consumable equipment orders for the children and young people in the service ensuring that the items and ordered and delivered in a timely way.

To provide a professional and courteous service to a range of customers, which may include contact with patients/clients, carers, families, health professionals and other organisations.

To give non-clinical advice and signpost appropriately including making judgements when giving non-clinical advice and resolving day-to-day issues

Responsible for managing the expectations of families and the young people

To participate in and collate data for surveys and audits within the Lifetime Service

Responsible for organising own work and the work of other administrators on a day-to-day basis including prioritising the on-going work of the team.
