This working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00
The Positive Behaviour Support Team works across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and consists of practitioners with a specialist interest in working with complex individuals who display behaviour that may challenge. The teams ethos is proactive; person centred support that improves the quality of life of the individuals supported and prevents placement breakdown and possible admission to hospital.
All staff within the team receive regular clinical and managerial supervision and training and development opportunities are available to ensure skills and knowledge are kept up to date. We support team members to develop the skills required to progress within the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within a positive behaviour support approach, working in partnership with service users and their networks to support the completion of functional behaviour assessments, functional analysis and the development of a positive behaviour support plan. You will support the implementation and understanding of these plans through observations, role modelling, skill teaching and participating in bespoke workshops and training. You will be supported to manage your own caseload and will have regular PBS focused supervision and peer support as well as the opportunity to further develop your skills. You will work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, liaising with relevant professionals, carers, agencies and providers. You will also support students on placement within the team.
