Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative dietitian with excellent communication skills and knowledge to join our vibrant adult team here at First Community, on a fixed-term basis until September 2025.

We are a friendly, approachable team of 20 dietitians, 4 dietetic assistants and 2 administrators delivering services across East Surrey and parts of West Sussex.

We are committed to service development through public involvement, quality improvement and innovative new service models. We support involvement in service development and encourage innovative thinking to improve services and patient experience, whilst increasing efficiency within our team. Main duties of the job

You will manage your own varied caseload providing specialist dietetic services to adults in a variety of settings, including clinics, domiciliary visits, care homes and those receiving enteral tube feeding, demonstrating a high level of expertise within the specialist area of community dietetics.You will play a key role in the nutritional management of this patient group, providing specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals. In addition, there will be opportunities to be involved in service development projects.

You will use your dietetic skills to improve patients lives in a holistic and evidence-based manner. First dietitians mission is changing lives through food and we believe as a team that we have the ability to do this in a community setting.

We want a team player who cares about their patients, about food and nutrition and making a difference.

You will supervise/support our Band 5 dietitians, dietetic assistants and student dietitians. You will also participate in our teams audit programme and policy and resource development for the team and organisation.
