Are you an experienced and passionate nurse with a specialist knowledge in tissue viability?
We are seeking a band 7 Community Tissue Viability Nurse to join our forward-thinking team, providing expert care across our community services.
In this pivotal role, you will lead on the assessment, planning and management of complex wounds, including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and a wide range of acute and chronic wounds. You will deliver high quality, evidence-based care to patients in the community, working autonomously while also playing a key role within our supportive multidisciplinary team.
About you
- Registered Nurse (NMC) with significant post-registration experience.
- Specialist knowledge and demonstratable expertise in tissue viability and wound care.
- Experience of working both autonomously and as part of a team in community nursing.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing others.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Depending on start date, you may be paid on the 24/25 scales with backdated pay being processed once the new pay scales come in to effect.

Main duties of the job
- Provide advanced clinical expertise in the management of tissue viability and wound care.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop person-centered care plans.
- Support the prevention, identification, and treatment of leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and complex wounds.
- Work collaboratively with community nursing teams, GPs, and applied health professionals.
- Deliver training and education to the wider workforce, promoting best practice in wound management and pressure ulcer prevention.
- Act as a clinical advisor and resource for staff, patients and carers.
- Contribute to service development, clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
