Make the Critical First Connection. Be the Voice of Support When It Matters Most.
Are you a dedicated Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding children and the experience to make rapid, robust assessments? Join our dynamic Initial Response Team and become the vital first point of contact for children and families in need.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the 'Front Door' of our service, triaging referrals and determining the right support at the right time. Your expertise will shape futures from the very first moment. We need a resilient professional like you, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in building trust quickly during moments of crisis.
If you are ready to use your 3+ years of post-qualification experience to make a tangible, immediate difference, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to be the calm in the storm and the champion for our community's most vulnerable children.
Main duties of the job
As a Social Worker in our Initial Response Team, your core duty is to conduct swift, sensitive, and analytical assessments of all new referrals. You will be responsible for gathering information from multi-agency partners, making initial contact with families, and determining the level of risk and need for each child.
You will expertly analyse your findings to make clear, evidence-based recommendations, deciding whether a case requires no further action, early help, or a statutory social work assessment. This involves presenting cases to managers and contributing to strategic decision-making to ensure every child receives the right intervention at the right time. Your work ensures our service is both responsive and effective from the very first point of contact.
