Job summary

We are looking for a registered HCPC Occupational Therapist with substantial post-qualification experience in a mental health setting. Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist, your key duties will include:

  • Undertaking specialist occupational therapy assessments to analyse a persons functional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised intervention plans using a range of evidence-based, recovery-focused approaches.

  • Managing a defined caseload of service users with complex mental health conditions, providing specialist occupational therapy.

  • Utilising graded activity and creative, group-based interventions to enable individuals to achieve their personal goals.

  • Providing supervision, support, and guidance to junior staff and OT students on placement.

  • Working collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to integrate occupational therapy into holistic care plans.

  • Contributing to service development and leading on specific aspects of clinical practice.
