Main duties of the job

This post will primarily focus for this role is the smooth running of appointment-based Speech and Language Therapy services. This involves communicating with parents/carers, and colleagues within educational settings and commissioning organisations, y phone, email and online booking systems. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft office 365 applications, especially Outlook and Excel. Ideally they will also have an understanding of neurodiversity and experience in communicating with parents and educational settings (nurseries, schools and colleges).

Communicate SLT CIC is a not-for-profit organisation, providing flexible and tailored speech, language and communication related services which invest in the diverse communities we serve.

Our experienced and dedicated team of professionals support individuals aged 0-25 years directly and through others, using high-quality, evidenced-based approaches to maximise impact where they live and learn.

Our head office is in Blackpool, however, we provide services across the North West through our highly supportive cohesive team.

The organisation began in 2011 and since then has grown in:

  • Employees - in July 2024 we had 53 employees and many consultants who support short term projects.
  • Reach in 2023-2024, our services impacted over 18,000 children and families.
