Job summary
We now have an opening for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist (NHS Band 5+) to join our college team, and working across our directorate at Victoria School, with potential remote working at Nash College. The vacancy is part time (22.5 hours per week, term-time only).
Job outline
Based at Livability Millie College, the Occupational Therapist will oversee OT provision for students with complex medical needs, often with associated difficulties such as autism. You will be clinically responsible for Occupational Therapy input for some students in terms of functional life skills and sensory processing to reduce barriers to learning and embed therapeutic strategies into the college curriculum. Therapies at Millie College form part of the integrated delivery model, where therapies are functional, have purpose and demonstrate a meaningful benefit. Therapies are needs-led, regularly monitored and integrated into the student's college day.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
To work closely with the OT team and be an effective member of the multi-disciplinary Team.
To take responsibility for the planning of sessions; both group and 1-1 sessions.
To offer support and ideas for the future development of the OT service with the aim of maintaining a high-quality service.
To have collective responsibility for safeguarding all students and contribute to the safeguarding policies and procedures.

To follow the safeguarding procedures adopted by Livability and within the college policies.
To work within the framework of the mission statements, aims, policies and procedures of the college and Livability, and to support the Christian objectives of the organisation.
