Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an individual to provide administrative and project support across the delivery of several strands of work

You will play an important role in strengthening and championing the benefits of physical activity, reducing inequalities, and contributing to health, wealth and wellbeing across Greater Manchester.

Job responsibilities

Working across the Greater Manchester City region, you will play an important role in strengthening and championing the benefits of physical activity, reducing inequalities and contributing to health, wealth and wellbeing. Providing administrative and project support across GreaterSport, you will have an important role in supporting the delivery of several strands of work:

  • Supporting the implementation and administration of a few dedicated investments including (but not limited to) Tackling Inequalities and GM Walking Grants.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of the GM Walking Ambition, taking direct responsibility for administrative and project support.
  • Supporting and developing the Health and Care Integration area of work effectively organising and administrating a calendar of workshops and events on a needs led basis.
  • Providing a marketing, campaigns and engagement support function across, Health Integration and GM Walking work.

Essential

  • Experience of providing administrative and project support.
  • Significant experience of using a range of Microsoft office applications, including word, power point, excel and databases.
  • Experience of using social media and other web-based communication channels.
  • Experience of being part of a busy team/programme of work and responding quickly to tight deadlines.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload with minimal supervision working to tight and often changing timescales
