We are looking for an experienced and devoted clinician to lead on the development of a 'precision medicine' approach to patients in cardiac arrest, building our understnading of, and creating opportunities for our patients and their families.
The successful candidate will be an individual who is passionate about potential opportunities for the future of pre-hospital cardiac arrest care.

Job responsibilities
- Lead on the evaluation of our current performance for cardiac arrest patients.
- Work with our clinical community lead, to maximise the opportunities during the early vital stage of the chain of survival.
- Working with the East of England Ambulance Service, to ensure that every opportunity for remotely guided CPR and defibrillation is seized for our patients.
- Introduce a system for dispatch death and disability (D and D) meetings focussed on cardiac arrest and interfacing with the work of our head injury team.
- Identify global gold standards for the use of technology in the minutes following contact with the emergency services.
- Lead on a process of continuous monitoring and quality improvement for EHAAT teams as we care for our patients in cardiac arrest.
- Continue to develop our culture of enquiry around the aetiology of cardiac arrest, so that our future treatments are nuanced for each patient.
- Influence the local, national, and international guidance on CPR.
- Work closely with our Patient and Family Liaison Team (PFLT) to build-on our bespoke approach to family members of those affected by this often sudden, and unexpected condition.
- Define and role-model our compassionate approach to cardiac arrest patients, with continuous team reflection and analysis.
- In collaboration with others, identify key qualitative and quantitative data to be presented annually, reflecting our experience of cardiac arrest.
- Ensure that our team has access to information on the specific cause of every cardiac arrest attended by EHAAT.
- Working with pathologists and others in our team, to ensure that our team understands the cause of death in each case of cardiac arrest where resuscitation efforts are unsuccessful.
- With our education lead, introduce a new education programme specific to cardiac arrest management.
- Lead on our academic approach to cardiac arrest management, alongside our research lead.
- In collaboration with the clinical lead, introduce novel approaches that can be delivered to our patients who are in cardiac arrest.
- Attend the relevant meetings and conferences of the UK/ European Resuscitation Councils and others. Financial support will be provided for this activity.
- Take part in a personalised career development plan, aligned with the EHAAT strategy for clinician career development.
- Take part in leadership development activity, supported by the EHAAT team.
- Work closely with our team in aligning your work with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other related organisations.
- Engage and work with hospital trusts to influence and optimise onward care for patients conveyed after suffering a cardiac arrest.

- Education at BSc, MSc level or a demonstration of equivalence.
